Size 12 W New Balance Walking Shoes feel incredible!
OK, I changed a 2 star rating to 5 stars! The 1st pair in my usual 11.5 M size would barely fit onto my feet. I re-ordered up 1 size to 12 W & they fit like a glove. My Doctor told me to get these, as I've been having some diabetic problems with 1 foot persistently. These feel like walking on a cloud. They are heavily padded, all black, & will work with a dress/casual attire. Yes, the laces are a little long... I really like these shoes!
A little narrower and snugger than other New Balance shoes with the exact same size
I would give the product 5 * but it's a little bit narrow compared to other New Balance shoes of the same size and width. It feels a little bit snug, but still comfortable enough to keep it. One reviewer said the toe box is too big, but actually it is smaller compared to another New Balance walking shoe and a New Balance training shoe I have, both of which are exactly the same size according to New Balance ranking system. New Balance needs to exercise a little more oversight of its Asian shoe assembly businesses.

Had to use extra-wide orthotic inserts. These are a bit 'boxy' looking, but I love them anyway and they are quite comfortable for long walks with my 'hairy daughter'!

I wear a 14 5-6E shoe size so accurate width is important too me. I am on my feet most of the day as a Machinist so I tend to stand in place for several minutes at a time also. I have developed a fondness for New Balance / Dunham shoes over the last few decades as they normally make good quality, very comfortable footwear and these shoes are no exception thus far. I am giving them 4 (would be 4.5 but you can't give half stars) because they are a bit hot on my feet, this is forgivable however seeing as they are full leather shoes and most work boots are as well.

New Balance shoes fit my feet better than any other shoe brand. Although I think Adidas makes great products, their shoes are always too narrow for my me. This is just my personal experience. If you have had similar issues as I have, then this brand might work well for you.
