Quality has declined from earlier retros
I remember when Jordan retros had premium leather that aged beautifully. These feel more like synthetic material with a leather coating. The creasing after minimal wear is extreme - the toe box looks like an accordion after two weeks. The sole also separates slightly at the flex points. For the premium price, the quality should be significantly better. Jordan Brand seems to be cutting corners while raising prices.

The color blocking is crisp with clean lines - you can tell the attention to detail in the manufacturing. They run true to size and the padded collar provides excellent ankle support. The design is iconic and the quality is top-tier. Just be patient with the break-in process and use moleskin patches for the first few wears. Ordered my normal size, perfect fit right away. No break-in needed.
