New Balance Men's MX608V2 Training Shoe, White, 13D
Just what I had hoped for. Got 2 pair because local sporting goods store stopped carrying them. Arrived in less than a week with standard/no frills shipping. I recommend. This is a reasonable priced training shoe. I put Powersteps in them (flat feet) and have no ankle/foot problems no matter whether walking or running all day.

Arrived a day early!!! Good fit!!! Hope they hold up as well as all my New Balance shoes have. I would give a 5 star but we have to see how well they hold up!

I'm happy with these MX623's - I wear size 10.5 4E and fit is excellent. I wear a separate orthotic so want a removable insole which this of course has. The review question asked about arch support and I said "no arch support." Hey face it, get yourself a consistent orthotic. Don't rely on various shoes to give you arch support. Give it to yourself consistently!<br /><br />New Balance is known for changing styles all the time -they really angered my years ago when they were the only wide width game in town - there is now more competition. Hear that, New Balance! Keep this style going consistently. Why do you go out of your way to change models all the time. Don't you realize this alienates customers. You have me currently. So don't blow it! (I have this same model in Black (2), Brown (1) and White (2).<br /><br />DON'T YOU GO CHANGING ON ME , NEW BALANCE!
Great fit - wide toe box - fits like New Balance "SL2 last"
The wide width (10.5 4E) version of this model 623 fits surprisingly well - with a wide toe box and good room above the toes. I usually need an "SL2" Last" (New Balance has a description of their lasts which are basic shoe shapes and configurations) on their web site if you want to dig into this further). This shoe per the NB website does NOT have that last (wide toe box and high toe box) - but has an MX001 last - nevertheless it fits amazingly well and I am very happy with it. (I use a prescription orthotic and pull out the insole provided and add a Spenco pad and together the fit is perfect - as the shoe gets broken in I might add another Spenco pad for a snugger fit). I might mention that I am not putting it to super stressful use - a few reviewers on Amazon have been critical in this regard to the fact that for them the shoe doesn't hold up as well - my use is just moderate mountain biking and working out at the gym - but I'm happy with the fit and the durability for my use - and the price is right - much more affordable than the trendier overpriced New Balance shoes. So it you need a wide width toe box and high toe box general purpose athletic this one worked for me. As I recall the last is MX001 or something but it sure feels like an SL2. Again, only the hard core hard to fit wide width shoe wearers will care about this distinction - but I thought I'd take the time to point out that this shoe worked for me and I"m extremely hard to fit - New Balance is about the only shoe that fits my wide width feet. One final comment - I like the all leather upper without the crappy netting that not only is ugly but gets super dirty super quickly. This netting/webbing scam is the biggest way for shoe companies to create premature obsolescence (get it ha ha Ob SOLE essence? ha ha - what a wordsmith I am!) in shoes - seriously I hate all the BS webbing and useless netting in shoes - all with the intent to make them "breathe" - give me a break - how much to they need to

Fit as expected, I need the 4E and the size as ordered was fine. I think the price was good. Time will tell how the shoes hold up!

I'VE WORN NEW BALANCE FOR YEARS....
i have worn new balance for years. the sole support is not bad but the last 5 years or so i always used SuperFeet GREEN insole support for just a little extra support. i beat 'em up pretty bad and haven't had any big issues over the years. good shoes, good company. my latest pair says "made in mexico" and not china, which is a plus+ if you ask me.
