A Good Replacement For Asics Lyte 33
Great running shoe. Thought I would give this a try after ASICS discontinued the Lyte 33, which was my favorite shoe by far. This shoe feels a lot like the Lyte 33 - a low profile (not minimal) shoe with a nice wide toe box.

ASICS is a name to trust
Use to run track in the mid-'80s in ASICS, so when I wanted to start walking for exercise I went with a name I knew and trusted. Major improvements over those old track shoes. The reason I chose ASICS, one of the only manufacturers that understand arch support is important in shoes. Don't believe me, go to any sports store and try to find an arch in any pair of tennis shoes. Bought a pair in 2020 and was walking 6 miles a day with no discomfort. Eight months later I started looking for another pair as I wore the rubber sole away. These are by far has been one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I have owned, so much so, I bought another pair this year. Look for them on sale like I do and you won't regret your purchase.
Asics Men's GT-1000 Running Shoe
This pair of shoes are lighter than the previous model I have. Not as plush inner lining but still comfortable with good support. Ordered the same size as the ones I already had and they fit nearly perfectly. Label indicates that they were made In Vietnam, same as the older ones I have. Quite pleased with the older ones I have so expect much the same with these.

Love these, only wish Asics was still making these. Love that they are neutral in color as I can't wear the louder color combinations to my work. You would think Asics would give more neutral options.
Asics GEL-1160
This is one of the shoes that "fits" my foot type, and it has been a comfortable shoe thus far (better than the Nike Pegasus, as good as the old Brooks Radius line). My current pair (exact same pair as this one that I just bought) cost $85 at a retail chain store, so being able to find it on Amazon for $30 less is awesome! I'm looking forward to when my current Asics GEL 1160 eventually wears out so I can refresh with this new pair.
