Bought these Air Jordan 1 Low Banned about a month ago. Air Jordans are in a class of their own. The leather quality on these is thick, supple, and has that premium feel you can't get from regular sneakers. The color blocking is crisp with clean lines - you can tell the attention to detail in the manufacturing. They run true to size and the padded collar provides excellent ankle support. The Air-Sole unit in the heel gives just enough cushioning for all-day comfort. These aren't just shoes, they're a piece of basketball history you can wear.
Jumpman delivers again
Bought these Air Jordan 1 Low Banned about a month ago. Michael Jordan's signature line never disappoints. The build quality is consistently high across every pair I've owned. The outsole pattern provides excellent traction on indoor courts and clean dry surfaces. The upper materials breathe reasonably well for a leather shoe. These are as much a cultural artifact as they are footwear. If you're on the fence, just get them.
Quality has declined from earlier retros
Got the Air Jordan 1 Low Banned and they've exceeded expectations. I remember when Jordan retros had premium leather that aged beautifully. These feel more like synthetic material with a leather coating. The creasing after minimal wear is extreme - the toe box looks like an accordion after two weeks. The sole also separates slightly at the flex points. For the premium price, the quality should be significantly better. Jordan Brand seems to be cutting corners while raising prices.
Beautiful but need break-in time
The Jordans look incredible and the quality is undeniably good. But at current resale prices, you're paying a premium primarily for the brand name and hype. The actual comfort and performance don't justify 2-3x the original retail price. If you can get them at retail, absolutely worth it. At resale prices, consider whether you're buying for wearing or collecting.
Good for collectors, average for daily wear

The leather is stiff initially and can cause blisters on the back of your ankle if you wear them too long on day one. After breaking them in, they become comfortable. The design is iconic and the quality is top-tier. Just be patient with the break-in process and use moleskin patches for the first few wears.
