much firmer than his Nike's
My husband wears a size 14, and local stores only seem to have UGLY showes in his size. If they are not ugly, the price tag is way too high for shoes that he is going to wear out in a matter of 6 weeks. So we decided to try these. There is not as much cushon under his feet as he is used to, but he is not complaining.

Great cross-grade of Nike Downshifter Series
When Nike discontinued the Downshifter 9 design (owned 5 pair), I struggled to find a good cross-grade until finding the Revel 5. Great shoe for the gym—I have a NEW FAVORITE! Thanks, Brooks!
Normally a Nike for Me
I am, in my mind, a Nike runner - but love to try on models from the other manufacturers and have found these shoes to be very comfortable. I only have a couple of hundred km in these but have had no issues thus far and feel very comfortable in them.<br /><br />A good trainer and good for the long-run on your weekend.<br /><br />Of course - test them out and read other reviews for yourself.

LOVE THEM!! I have always been a Nike guy but needed something more comfortable for standing on concrete 8hrs a day. These did the job. They are light, breathable and I love the laces, they don’t come undone. I will buy again.
This is the last good year for Salient Air Max
Unfortunately the Salient Air Max 4 has gone the cheap route substituting a lower quality in-sole as well as material for the outside of the shoe that covers the top of your feet, so the Air Max Salient 3 is really the way to go, especially at the price.

These are light weight and snugs to your feet.
They're Nike Pegasus, even with the pointed heal, they are great shoes.
The pointed heal does not influence the ' feel' for the shoe, except to make heal strike more comfortable. I've been wearing the Nike Pegasus since it came out, and see no reason to change.
