Good shoe, great support and stability. A replacement for my 1224s. This shoe is difficult to find in Nova Scotia, Canada, and is priced over $50.00 higher than in USA.

now that New Balance sucks for big shoes (Size 16)
I've been wearing the GT1000 (or it's derivatives) for the last few years. I'm not a runner, but I'm on my feet for most of the day. These shoes are my go to, now that New Balance sucks for big shoes (Size 16). Do people make fun of me for wearing pink shoes? I'm 6'-6" tall and 310lbs, so no, they don't. Do I like that they were half off of retail? Hell yes, even Sasquatches love a bargain. Some of the purchase price supposedly goes to a good cause, so its a win/win. Go out and buy you some pink shoes, even if you're not a Sasquatch (or even a Yeti).
Bring this shoe back New Balance.
The BEST shoe for people who have a very high arch. Excellent shoe for extreme over protenators. A bit heavy by weight. Heel wears out a bit too fast. Expensive. But I loved them. Used for many years. Wish they were never DISCONTINUED. ARE YOU LISTENING New Balance. Yes, they are old Dad/GrandPa shoes. So what. Functional. No more sore feet, tired lower calves.
New Balance shoes give me the support I need.
I like the shoes because they give me the cushioning I need in order to walk on hard surfaces.
I love New Balance
These shoes are so light and comfortable. I have big fat wide feet and also tend to walk on the outside of my foot, so I tend to ruin shoes pretty quickly. I have always been an Air Max or Shox guy, but as long as New Balance keeps making shoes like these I don't think I'll ever buy another brand.
