What's not to like in a New Balance dress shoe??
I love these shoes. They are exactly what I've wanted in a dress shoe. It looks good and feels amazing. You can feel the influence of New Balance in these shoes. When the time comes for a new pair of shoes, it will be Dunhams.<br /><br />They DO run large. I'm normally a 9 1/2 but wound up with a 9 2e.

I've never had a pair of slip-on shoes before, but these are very comfortable. I purchased these because the price was excellent and I usually buy New Balance sneakers so I knew I could count on the fit. Turned out I was right on the fit.
A Dress Shoe by New Balance: what else do you need to know?
The only question is why every dress shoe is not built like a sneaker. I've work these all day, every work day for 7 months. They are extremely comfortable. The still are in remarkable shape even with a lot of snow and ice exposure.

Great boots. If you happen to wear New Balance ...
Great boots. If you happen to wear New Balance 990 series running shoes (991, 992, 993, 990v3), the size of these boots seems to be comparable to the NB. I wasn't sure what size to order, but luckily ordered a size larger than I wear in most shoes, and they fit great.
standard New Balance fit, very lightweight, not as supportive as heavier boots
These boots are very lightweight for hiking boots. Compared to heavier boots, they are not as supportive, but they do work surprisingly well for the weight. I've worn them on hilly rocky 10 mile hikes (light backpack only) and my feet were comfortable at the end of the day. I did replace the insoles with after-market insoles that have more cushioning and more arch support (which I do with all my boots and shoes). I wouldn't use these boots carrying camping gear or other heavy loads, but that is what the "light hiking" in the product name implies. Construction seems good, but durability is questionable for the lightweight materials, so I bought an extra pair when the price was $50. I wouldn't pay $100 for these boots just because of the durability issue.
Smaller than new balance cross trainers of the same size.
Seems a little short because my toes are very close to the front of the shoe. However I think they will become more comfortable as they break in.
