Got the Air Jordan 11 Retro Cool Grey and they've exceeded expectations. These are stunning but they need about a week of break-in time. The leather is stiff initially and can cause blisters on the back of your ankle if you wear them too long on day one. After breaking them in, they become comfortable. The design is iconic and the quality is top-tier. Just be patient with the break-in process and use moleskin patches for the first few wears.
Creasing is extreme
I remember when Jordan retros had premium leather that aged beautifully. These feel more like synthetic material with a leather coating. The creasing after minimal wear is extreme - the toe box looks like an accordion after two weeks. The sole also separates slightly at the flex points. For the premium price, the quality should be significantly better. Jordan Brand seems to be cutting corners while raising prices. Ordered my normal size, perfect fit right away. No break-in needed.
A true collector's piece you can actually wear
These are absolutely fire. The moment you open the box, you can smell the quality leather. The silhouette is perfect - not too bulky, not too slim. Goes with literally everything in my wardrobe. The padding around the collar and tongue is generous, zero blisters even on first wear. These have become my pride and joy. Friends keep asking where I got them. If you're between sizes, go with the larger one. These run a touch small.
