Great bag!
I usually use Land's End tote bags, but I wanted to take something packable on a trip to Mexico so I purchased this Envirosax bag because it was cute and because it has an adjustable strap. I am kind of short and have a larger rear end, so being able to adjust this to just the right spot on my hip was important. :)I saw the picture, the price and description and it seemed too good to be true - I've never had an Envirosax bag and wasn't familiar with what the material would be like. I was also alarmed when I unpacked it - it was rolled up really small. I opened it up and was very surprised at how large it is. The material is "crinkly" and so I doubted the strength. However, I'm happy with the bag. Here's what I like about it:a) It's cute, and I can switch sides for two different looks.b) It has a smaller pocket in front which is actually still large. It is best for smaller items that you'd need to get to quickly: wallet, pens, or even a small water bottle. I have a small stainless steel bottle on a carabiner that I clipped to one of the straps and that worked well.c) The material is pretty strong. I used this as a beach bag and carried a couple of hardcover library books, water bottles, towel, change purse. I would feel confident carrying this at the Farmer's Market or other shopping for hands-free browsing to carry lighter items and produce.d) The larger compartment is pretty darn roomy, and you have to reach down deep to get smaller items. I feel like the items are pretty safe. I have used this walking around the city and have felt very secure.I feel this is a very sufficient replacement for a purse. I typically carry larger bags as purses such as tote bags and this is a great replacement. If I were still a student, I would carry this around campus if I only needed a couple files and a smaller book or two for class. This rolls up VERY small and has a built-in elastic band to secure; just throw in your car or purse...you never know when you can use a tote bag. Very happy with this cute, eco-friendly purchase and plan on buying them as gifts for friends for the holidays.
LOVE THESE BOOTS!
So I bought a pair of the mule Fitflops earlier this year and fell in love. I had been watching these boots for a while, trying to decide if I needed another pair. I finally convinced myself to try them and have not been disappointed. They are super comfy and warm. While I wasn't sure the shoes were actually giving me a workout around the house, when I wore them into campus they were definitely having an impact. They had the look I wanted, with the price I wanted, with a comfort that is unbelievable. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.
Buying Another Pair
I bought these online through Amazon after searching every store in my area. I live in Massachusetts, but I go to NYC often and I wanted a really good walking boot, but one that had some style. I ordered the gray and I love them. I am an 8.5 and I ordered them in size 8. The fit is great. The calf is a bit on the big side, but with jeans and leggings tucked into them, they look really cute. I have had several women and a couple of teenage girls ask me about them. The cushioning is super comfy and they do not feel too hot, even after hours of wearing them both indoors and out. The only thing I will say is this: I sometimes have metatarsal pain in my left foot and after walking in these for six hours, it started to act up. The second time I wore them, I put in my orthotics, which I normally don't have to wear, and they were good for miles and miles of walking. I've been on the go all day today and they are as comfortable as when I first slipped them on this morning. So if you do have a problem like mine, I would highly recommend you buy good inserts. I am going to order them in chocolate brown suede. Between the gray and the brown, I will be all set this winter.January 2012:Okay, I am back. I didn't end up getting the dark brown because I got a different boot in that color. I really wanted the FitFlops in Cougar (the lighter tan) and was happy to see them here for $59, so I snapped them up. Same great fit and comfort. Only disappointment is that the color is darker than appears on the site, and they get a bit darker with treatment spray. I was really hoping for that lighter tan. No big deal. Still love them, and with a New England winter coming up, I will get good use of these and the gray ones. GREAT for tramping around campus in snow.
Tight fit
The Good: Bright pink/maroon backpack is fun, has comfortable, adjustable shoulder straps, and more pockets than most. The Bad: I have an iPad but, like many people, I have a protective case for it. My case also has a built in keyboard, so the iPad will not fit in it's designated pouch. If you actually need to travel with both a laptop and an iPad, this bag would be a very tight fit.The Rest:It might take a few day trips to break the bag in, it's a little stiff when you first unwrap it and needs to be worn around to get all the straps where you want them. This is a good bag for someone who lives in a city or on a college campus and just needs to carry a few things around, like a tablet and snacks. The protective case on the top is a safe compartment for glasses/sunglasses and other little things that are easily crushed. This is not a good backpack for someone who wants to hike or to use for school as you would have a rough time getting textbooks etc. into the back pocket if your computing devices are in there.
not good for short pinky toes
I had hoped these would be good for walking around campus during summer semester but the narrow cross strap keeps slipping under my short pinky toes. This makes it really uncomfortable and I have to keep stopping and repositioning the strap. Nice colors, not very cushy sole because it's so thin and overall very sorry I bought them without trying first.
Great sandals!
These sandals are very nice-looking. I've received a ton of compliments on them. What's even better, though, is that they are so comfortable--I wouldn't expect anything less from Clarks sandals, but I was still surprised when I put them on. The insole is so cushy and nice. I walk all over a university campus on a daily basis, and I'm on my feet a lot to teach, and these sandals are perfect. They also fit true-to-size. I highly recommend these shoes.
Adorable
For the price, these are really cute; I was pleasantly surprised that they do not look cheap. I liked some of the other designs, but the price on this design was too good to pass up. I have not worn them outdoors yet, as it has not rained since I bought them, but I have to walk across campus and these will come in handy (especially during the Florida summer rainy season). I wanted to review these so that others would know: it is definitely true that these run one size big. I took the advice and ordered a 6, although my shoe size is 7. I was worried that they would feel tight or cramp the toes, but definitely not a problem. I tried them on with thick socks and there was plenty of room. They seem to be very comfortable, although of course I won't really know until I walk across campus in the rain . .. but, for $15, I will take a chance on these.
FRYE-Melissa-Womens Tall Lace Boot
LOVE THIS BOOT! Nice leather. Low, comfortable heal. BEAUTIFUL! Cant say enough good things about this boot. Its my favorite pair of anything I have. I didnt need them. I have lots of boots already. Gave them 4 stars though because they are a bit expensive for them to be made in Mexico. At 400.00 one would think they would have been made in America like the Frye Campus Boot. But I love em just the same. May order another color!
Great boots
Ordered these for my college age daughter for winter wear on her walking campus. They've been great to keep her feet warm and dry in the ice, snow, and cold. They are very stylish, and every bit as good as the more expensive and famous brand. She is hard on shoes, but so far so good. She wears them almost daily.
comfy, cute, and great price!
it runs very true to size. Warm and comfortable fit in both the foot and leg areas. Very soft leather top. I walked around the campus the whole day today (around 7 hrs) and it feels like an old pair I've had for years! I love it so much in terms of the fitting, comfort and great look! I bought the black pair with a deal around $34 dollars by Amazon. No one can ever beat Amazon deal! Never! I love Steve Madden and I love good deals from Amazon even better! :D So happy that I got this pair of knee-high boots!
The perfect combat boots for the urban dweller
I ordered this product as per the sizing guidelines, and while they fit comfortably enough, I have to admit that they fit snugly around the toe region mostly. Otherwise, these boots are comfortable and are sturdy enough for my everyday life that consists of walking around a college campus. They repel water nicely and go well with a pair of skinny jeans. My only other complaint is that the laces are kind of waxy and stiff, though that could be fixed easily enough by replacing the original laces. Otherwise, the zipper up the side is very useful and I enjoy owning these boots.
Pleased as punch, bought two pairs
I have been a fan of Minnetonka since my youth. I just purchased a pair for my college-age daughter, who swears by them. She says they are so comfy to walk around campus. I ended up buying a second pair for my middle-schooler, and she also loves them. I tried them on myself and one thing to note is that these are very snug and don't come in half-sizes. From my own experience with Minnetonkas, they will stretch, as they are made of genuine leather suede. They seem narrow so if you have a wider foot, you may want to go up a size. Otherwise, both my daughters love their boots. I'm itching to get a pair for myself!
Good for dance, but not for high impact moves
These works well for sliding my feet around in salsa/samba and funk moves during dance workouts in my carpeted area living room, but there is no shock absorbing cushion for higher impacts dance workouts that include high leaps, jumping jacks etc, so after while your legs start hurting. For the price, this was however a great purchase. I just need to invest a little more in a dance shoe to have it meet all my needs. I do recommend these for low impact dance.
Adidas Samba Classics
First off, as the name implies, these Adidas Sambas are classics. They've been around 40 years (probably more) and they still look fresh! In my shallowness, I bought them on looks alone for around-the-house/ casual-Friday's.They are a bit narrow, which is great for me. But they do lack a bit in arch/ball of the foot support. You'd think that if they're making these shoes for narrow-footed people, they would have better arch support because most people with narrow feet tend to have higher arches, right? If you have wide feet, you might want to avoid these. As for the extra-long tongue, I have to say that I kind of like it. It makes the shoes unique. But I think if you wore low-socks, the tongue might chafe you and look funny. Also, folding the tongue down looks kind of dumb as you can see part of the sizing tag.I found the sizing (10.5) to be pretty much right on, maybe a smidge bigger than my other Adidas. Overall though, for the price (I found mine on sale for $30!), I thought they were are a great deal! I really like these Samba Classics. They look fantastic and fit good for a casual shoe. I just wish they had a bit more support (like the Samba Millenium's do), then they'd be perfect.
Very Awesome Indoor Soccer Sneaker
Though I do not play soccer (indoor or out), I've always wanted a pair of these hot sneakers. As I sit here writing this review, (I am currently wearing them and remembering how they feel on my feet) - very good. I've always had a difficult and time-consuming time to locate the correct and truthful pair of sneakers without being too expensive. Samba Classic fits that profile and quite reasonably priced. Even though they take some time breaking in, even for a narrow-footed person as myself, they fit wonderfully. I would highly recommend these sneakers to not just the indoor turf player, but to anybody who wants a cool pair of sturdy, stylish, sexy, and vintage sneakers for everyday wear. Very Happy Customer!!!!
life changing socks
okay, so maybe not life changing, but they are indeed nice. they fit properly, snugly and comfortably. they come up to my mid calf if pulled up to maximum height. they look good with my black adidas sambas and adidas slides (yes i wear socks with slides, deal with it, it's comfortable). you'll enjoy these fine socks.
Oversize - What's the BIG Tongue for?
OK, I don't play soccer. Maybe that is why the big tongue? In time does it lay down over the front or stay up to keep out dirt? Must be padding for instep when you kick the ball? It did not work for me.Ordered my size (13) but I could slide my foot so far forward there was room for fingers behind my heel. Tried heavier socks. Made shoe too narrow and there was still 1.5 inches in front of my big toe even on the larger foot. One of my feet is larger which is why I order 13. Other is maybe 12 or 12.5, same medium (D) width.........at least it's not my ears, LOL.IF shoes were shorter, a proper 13, fit was excellent with light socks. Construction was above average. However even if I re-ordered 12s?? that tongue looks and feels dumb. So today I am sending them back.Incidentally I also received a pair of Samoas in 13 and they fit perfect even though they are also adidas. So the oversize is just in the Samba? Overall the shoe is well made. Ordered second pair of Samoas.
