I always buy New Balance shoes because they offer a 4E width. This is a new style shoe for me, and it seems as if the lasts the shoe was built on are a tiny bit smaller than before. I'm seeing if they break in over a couple of weeks before I come to a final decision on the size.
New Balance comfort as usual.
I bought these for long days on my feet birding. My last pair of New Balance walking shoes are very comfortable, but I wear them at work, so I don't want to get them all dirty. So, I bought these and I really like them a lot. I wear them all the time. These seem well-built, at least by today's standards, and I'll say it again, very comfortable. I might be switching from Merrell to New Balance for everyday shoes.

Nice fit. break in took only a couple of days. Good quality. Would like a little more cushioning in the heel. going to try changing the insert to boost the padding. The narrow heel keeps my feet from moving in the shoe. will use these as work shoe, I walk 15 minutes each way.

Better than New Balance Fresh Foam?
Very comfortable. Runs wider than would be expected. Easy to slip on without undoing laces. I don't feel they're completely suited for running, they great for light aerobic workouts, and for walks.
In Balance with New Balance
When it comes to walking or running shoes I wear only New Balance Made in the U.S. A. shoes because they do not pay for endorsements.<br />These shoes fit perfectly, they are comfortable, and I am extremely happy with them. Would recommend them to friends and family and will always be a New Balance customer.
Identical to New Balance Trail Walker
These shoes seem fine, but it turns out they are as identical as it's possible to be to a pair of brown suede shoes I already have, New Balance Men's 779v1 Neutral Cushioning Trail Walking Shoe. Fit is the same and surface has only tiny differences in design and color. Plus, the New Balance is waterproof and these do not make that claim. New Balance on the left, this shoe on the right. I can't tell any difference with them on.

This shoe fits my 10 1/2 x 4e wide fit. I have wide feet to begin with, and I have to have 1/4 - 1/2" lift in my left shoe to compensate for differences in leg length - the 4e allows for it and New Balance is one of the few manufacturers that makes such widths. I've bought a lot of New Balance shoes and have always been happy with the cost-quality ratio. I bought a walking shoe for using for both walking and for yard work. I didn't want a deep tread that picks up mud. This shoe is just what I was looking for.

I have never been disappointed with New Balance shoes and these are no exception. Fit and support is great. Walked three miles first wearing and they felt like old friends. Would not hesitate to buy again.
New Balance is Great!
I've been wearing New Balance sneakers for many years. I have a wide foot and NB is one of only a few choices. But I have never been disappointed. The fit and comfort is always great and they last far longer than any other sneaker I can remember. Only drawback is they are definitely not sexy. They look like your grandfather's sneaker (and I am a grandfather). But a small price to pay for excellent footwear.<br /><br />BTW, I shop Amazon, Zappos, shoes.com, etc. Often Amazon has the best price on the same shoe, but not always. It pays to look around. I bought these on Amazon because they were 20% lower than elsewhere.

I ussually get 4E for the wide toe box. With heavy athletic socks they are a little tight but not bad. I bought these for dress as I can't wear dress shoes comfortably for long. They are perfect with a lighter sock.
