Sambas... A Golf Hybrid Done RIght...
I've only had these a few weeks but so far I'm very impressed. Hybrid Golf Shoes (those which are a combination of sneaker like style with golf shoe function) often fall short of the mark, they tend to lack quality or function in the transition to the different style. These shoes retain the stability you want in a golf shoe with a more casual/sneaker style. This may be because the general shape and design isn't terribly far off from a standard golf shoe or that Adidas has found that magic bullet, I don't know and don't really care. There are only 6 spikes on the bottom (where most shoes seem to have 7 or more) but the bumped pattern surrounding the shoes seems to offset that and add extra grip and control. I only have two complaints (and since they are because of me and not the shoe the rating doesn't suffer). The first is that they are a bit narrow, they may get more comfortable as they break in (which is what I'm hoping) but they are a bit snug (something trying them on in a store and not buying online would have remedied but you can't find 13s in the store very easily). The second is they are a bit hot, I bought the black shoes and in the North Carolina Summer Sun they start to heat up a bit, they are still very playable and comfortable but given it all to do over again I would buy white instead of black. All in all, if you are looking for something a little more casual and not all that expensive (at $99 these are a great deal considering their quality) I say go for the Sambas!

Love the color. I went with the nubs instead of cleats by advice from family members. Like that Adidas has teamed up with Taylormade. I use both.
